Your Flower Paintings is a beauty! I am generally not moved by macro flowers but i must make an exception this time. Wonderful! great job! It is full of space and light.
Now you can visit the farm stand every Thursday from 2:30 to 6 p.m. We offer seasonal flowers, vegetables, jams, jellies, and farm eggs at the Hay House Farm, 155 Ingham Hill Road, Old Saybrook, CT.
Bonus for our farm stand visitors: Our abundant organic gardens are in full production and are open for viewing during farm stand hours. We also have one of the only stupas in Connecticut. Please call 860-575-2387 when you want to learn about the farm, art studio, portraits, weddings, farm-grown wedding flowers, tours. (We're often in the fields and have limited access to computers. )
Welcome to the Hay House site and blog. I am an artist, organic farmer, and teacher. We operate a CSA--community supported agriculture--with a growing number of members.
A bit about the past few years: In 2007, working with a number of Tibetan and American friends, I saw a 15-year-old dream come true in the farm field at the Hay House. We dedicated a stupa, a Buddhist spiritual structure that is symbolic of peace and unity, on April 22, 2007. Over 1000 people attended. The stupa is now part of our farm and studio tours.
Less than two weeks after the stupa dedication, I got an object lesson in impermanence. I lost my entire barn, art studio and all the material tools of my professions to a fire. My friends have since helped me rebuild a new straw bale barn and art studio, which is now part of the Hay House tour.
